Gadget envy

During this past week my sister, T, picked up the MacBook Pro while my sister, S, informed me today she just purchased an iPhone. This is the trouble with having so many siblings (especially sisters!). They go out and acquire flashy and exciting gadgets that I am forced to covet from afar. I feel like right about now would be the perfect time to purchase a high-end digital SLR camera. In the past few months I’ve borrowed cameras to use but of course, that isn’t the same as having a camera of my own on hand. Nikon or Canon, Nikon or Canon? Please help me decide which one.
