Barack Obama, a.k.a. Renaissance Man

Michelle Obama, wife of Barack Obama, describes their first date:

Barack Obama was a Renaissance man on that first date.

"He was trying to sort of show all his sides. So, we went to the Art Institute in Chicago. We walked along Michigan Avenue and talked. And then we went to see 'Do the Right Thing.' So, I saw that he was down," Michelle Obama said. "I knew that I liked him a lot. He was cute and he was funny and he was charming, without, you know, being arrogant. Just a good guy."

Aww. Maybe I like this story because I once went to the Art Institute of Chicago (for a class photo conference, not on a date) and I like reading of love stories at 1:16 PM in the afternoon. I also like the idea of a "Renaissance man." I don't know if I totally believe Obama is a Renaissance man (he is a smoker, after all) but I'll keep my personal politics out of it.
