Black & Orange: A Creative Halloween Contest. I'm going to try to participate in this.

It’s very easy to get excited about fall. The cool weather. Crisp leaves. Pumpkins. Hayrides. Halloween. Fall is a very romantic, dreamy time of year. As I type this I am sipping apple cider with a touch of spice blend and feeling like life is grand. I am going to be watching the Fall Into Autumn flickr group as the season continues.

I am enjoying the new Godiva Belgian Blends. They are a cold coffee drink with a touch of Godiva chocolate. Sort of like the bottled Starbucks frappuccinos. I spend the majority of my day on campus (which does not include a decent coffee shop) and so I need to get my coffee intact somewhere.

I am feeling particularly excited because on October 4 the new season of Lost will begin. I've become horribly addicted to the show. I have so many theories about the island and what will be revealed in the next season. Nate knows all my theories but I have sworn him to secrecy. I don't want my conspiracy theories to be stolen! I will probably put together my theories and post them onto the Lost forums at some point in the future. I just have a few more things to work out in the mystery...

Yes, I like the new colors on the iPod nano. The product looks a little more interesting now that it comes in shades other than the classic black or white. However, the new iPod nano uses the same color scheme as the old iPod minis and for me, this is disappointing. I can't get excited about a new product that feels like a clone of an old product. Even if I'm tempted by the hot pink.

I've posted over 1,000 photos on my flickr page. Now I'm trying to go back and put together a "best of" set. I could organize this set by including the photos other users have selected as their Favorites. However, the photos other users seem to enjoy tend to be the photos I'm not so fond of. Hmm. This task will probably take much time and debating.

I moved into my new apartment less than a week ago. My bedroom came in the same beige color that is standard in apartment living. Thus, I painted over the beige as soon as I could. The shade I selected is called “Nantucket Sound.” When I first read this title I thought, “Aww. How refreshing.”



Now that the painting is done, I am pleased with the results. The above photo shows the dramatic contrast between the old color and the new blue. I prefer the vibrant blue.

I'm digging the new flickr map. So far, exploring all the lighthouses on the Great Lakes has been my coolest find. I'm considering transferring some of my photos to the flickr map. I know it would take some time but I love the idea of the new feature... and I have internet at home again and so I have more time to make it happen.
