This July while on Mackinac Island I walked the entire island (which is about 8 miles). It was a beautiful, long walk and I did it all in my green Crocs. I have been a fan of Mackinac Island for some time now. Cars are not allowed on the historic island and so one has to walk, bike or take a horse carriage to get around. I love the atmosphere the island brings. In many ways being on the island reminds me of living in a Charles Wysocki painting.
