I’ve spent a good deal of today researching possible apartments to rent in the area. It’s a lot more work than I expected and slightly frustrating. What I want in an apartment is going to be difficult to find. I need an affordable (meaning: cheap) apartment with plenty of windows and my own private room. I don’t want to live in a place that makes one wallow in the darkness writing poems of despair. I’ve seen some scary college apartments and I don’t want my place to resemble the scary in any way. I realize I may be sounding spoiled and some would point out, “You are a college student, what do you expect?” However, I’ve been lucky in where I’ve lived during my time in college thus far and it never hurts to have some basic standards of living.
